Fountain Chambers is a progressive set of barristers in the North East of England with a forward-thinking outlook, embracing changes such as mediation for separating couples and direct access for clients. We can also provide video conferencing facilities.

Our Head of Chambers, Jamie Hill Q.C., leads a set of Chambers whose members and staff are all dedicated to providing a friendly, high quality service to solicitors, individuals, unions, businesses, and local and national government departments.

Although our administrative team are based at our offices in the Cleveland Business Centre, Middlesbrough, we are also able to offer conferencing facilities at our Newcastle-upon-Tyne office, which is locally based on the Quayside. We have secured free parking for Solicitors attending for conferences in Newcastle.

Some of our current members presently sit as Recorders and a number of former members of Chambers have been appointed to the bench including His Honour Judge ANJ Briggs, His Honour Leslie Spittle, His Honour Judge PJB Armstrong, His Honour Judge SJ Ashurst, the former Recorder of York, and Her Honour Judge DA Sherwin.
