Kerry studied law at the University of Kent before securing a scholarship to undertake the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at BPP Holborn. Returning to the North East for pupillage, Kerry recently completed pupillage under the supervision of Helen Gamble.
Kerry is a member of the Family Law Bar Association, Court of Protection Practitioners Association and Young Legal Aid Lawyers.

Kerry accepts instructions in all areas of family law. She undertook a specialist family law pupillage, during which she gained experience across both public and private law proceedings.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Kerry worked as a paralegal for a national firm of solicitors, and support volunteer for Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB) and the Personal Support Unit (PSU). She represented parents and extended family members involved in all types of family proceedings.
Court of Protection/Mental Health
Kerry accepts instructions in both Court of Protection and Mental Health matters. She is often instructed to represent clients before the Mental Health Tribunal. Kerry understands the challenges faced by clients when appearing before the tribunal, and is keen to ensure they are able to participate in proceedings as fully as possible.
Kerry has a keen interest in Court of Protection matters. Prior to commencing pupillage she worked as a paralegal for a national firm of solicitors, specialising in Court of Protection. She was involved in a number of successful challenges to placement provision, care packages and medical treatment.
Kerry accepts instructions in Education matters. Whilst working as a paralegal she assisted in challenges to special educational needs provision, exclusions from school and school transport.
Kerry accepts instructions in all civil matters. She has a particular interest in representing both Claimants and Defendants in road traffic and stage 3 hearings.
