Why Should a solicitor Choose Me?
Kerry has significant experience assisting vulnerable clients, having previously worked in house and for a national firm of solicitors dealing with Court of Protection and Mental Health matters.
Kerry has a keen interest in family law and is accepting work in all areas of public and private family law. Prior to starting pupillage, Kerry worked as a paralegal and volunteered at both the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Personal Support Unit. In her work she provided advice on family law matters and often assisted litigants in person.
Court of Protection/Mental Health
Kerry accepts instructions in both Court of Protection and Mental Health matters. Prior to commencing pupillage Kerry worked as a paralegal for a national firm of solicitors in the Public Law and Human Rights department, specialising in Court of Protection matters. She assisted in a number of successful challenges to placement provision, care packages and medical treatment.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Kerry worked in the legal department of a well known care home group. She is therefore familiar with the procedures of the Mental Health Tribunal, and understands the challenges faced by clients when appearing before the Tribunal.

She conducted several successful appeals against housing decisions made by Local Authorities.
