Gill Kane has been awarded an LL.M in Mental Health Law.
Commenting on this additional qualification, Gill said “I am pleased to have been awarded an LL.M. in Mental Health Law. The Masters course covered a wide range of topics relevant to Mental Health Law and Mental Capacity. My dissertation concentrated on the issues involved when seeking to deprive children and young people of their liberty. This will inform and support my practice in the Court of Protection and in representing patients at Mental Health Tribunals where the law is rapidly changing as a result of the Law Commission’s Final Report and Draft Bill on Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty”.
