After six years working in criminal, civil and family law Robert chose to leave criminal law and has specialised in civil and family law ever since. He has appeared in courts across the country from Berwick to Taunton, particularly in courts in the North East and Yorkshire.
His civil practice covers landlord and tenant, housing, commercial, personal injury, trading standards, Land Tribunals, Public Enquiries, Court of Protection, Trusts and employment.
His family work sees him dealing with issues around children, matrimonial, finance, divorce, abduction and care.
Robert Gilbert accepts Direct Access work.
Outside of work his interests include arts and craft pottery 1880 to 1930 and collecting first edition literature. He also enjoys cooking, art, bird watching and gardening.
