Nov 27, 2013

A new driver got drunk and crashed his aunt’s car into a house on his FIRST time behind the wheel.

James Pratt, 20, took the Audi A3 after his brother’s 21st birthday party, trapping a mum and her toddler daughter inside.

The speeding car cleared her garden wall at 4.30am and went through the front door, blocking the staircase with debris.

Katie Walker and 15-month-old Ava-Grace had to be rescued by firefighters through the bedroom window after the crash.

Katie and her daughter, who were extremely distressed, had to move house from Crimdon Walk, Hardwick, which had £9,270 damage, Teesside Crown Court was told yesterday.
