Prior to joining chambers, Leanne was a Partner and Solicitor at a local Teesside firm. Following graduating in 2010, Leanne completed her training contract and qualified as a Solicitor in 2015. She obtained her Children Panel Accreditation in 2017 and became a Partner in 2021. In 2026 she transferred to the Bar, joining Fountain Chambers.
As a Solicitor, Leanne specialised in public and private law children matters acting for parents, family members and children, including receiving instructions directly from children in appropriate situations. Leanne was has been involved in cases involving all aspects of harm, including cases of non-accidental injury, death of children and sexual issues including inter sibling cases.
Leanne is an experienced and capable advocate following her number of years of being a Solicitor presenting her own cases. She is known for her calm and pragmatic approach and brings a wealth of experience in the local courts, at all levels, with her to Chambers. Her approachable and empathetic style make her able to relate to all clients both lay and professional.
Leanne is proud to be from Teesside and, having always lived and practised in the North East, is knowledgeable about the local area and people.
